About Florida Math Courses

Florida uses a Statewide Course Numbering System, which means course codes like MAC1105 or STA2023 are the same at every Florida college and university. Whether you’re at Miami Dade College, UCF, Valencia, Broward, or any other Florida institution — the course content is standardized.

This is good news for you: our experts know exactly what each Florida math course covers, regardless of which school you attend.

The Gordon Rule

Florida requires students to earn a C or higher in 6 credits of math at the MAC1105 level or above to graduate. This is called the Gordon Rule. A D doesn’t cut it — you need at least a C for your math credits to count toward graduation.

Florida’s Math Pathways

In 2024, Florida implemented three math pathways to help students take the right courses for their major:

Algebra to Calculus Pathway

For: STEM, Engineering, Pre-Med, Business

Courses: MAC1105 → MAC1147 → MAC2311

Statistical Reasoning Pathway

For: Nursing, Psychology, Social Sciences

Courses: MGF1131 → STA2023

Mathematical Thinking Pathway

For: Liberal Arts, Humanities, General Ed

Courses: MGF1130 or MGF1131

Not sure which pathway you’re on? Check with your advisor — or just tell us your course and we’ll help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you help with all Florida colleges?

Yes. Florida uses statewide course numbering, so MAC1105 at Miami Dade is the same as MAC1105 at UCF or Valencia. We know the content regardless of which school you attend.

What’s the Gordon Rule?

Florida requires students to earn a C or higher in 6 credits of math at the MAC1105 level or above to graduate. A D doesn’t count — you need at least a C for your math credits to satisfy this requirement.

Which course should I take — MGF1130 or MGF1131?

If you need Core math credit, take MGF1130. If you need a prerequisite for STA2023 (Statistics), take MGF1131. MGF1130 satisfies the Core requirement; MGF1131 does not. Talk to your advisor if you’re unsure.

Can you help with proctored exams?

Yes — depending on the setup. We’ve helped students with Respondus, Honorlock, and ProctorU exams. Contact us with your exam details and we’ll explain our approach.

I failed a math course. Can I get grade forgiveness?

Florida allows grade forgiveness in many cases. MGF1130 can replace a failed MGF1106 grade, and MGF1131 can replace a failed MGF1107 grade. We specialize in helping students succeed on their second attempt.

Do you guarantee grades?

Yes. A or B guaranteed on all work we complete. If we don’t hit the agreed grade, you get a refund. See our guarantee page.

How fast can you start?

Usually within 12-24 hours. Rush service available for urgent deadlines.

Is this confidential?

100%. We never share your information. All credentials are encrypted and deleted after work is completed.
